About the role

Build the backend of Anaira’s platform — the services, APIs, and workflows that carry risk decisions across the full lifecycle and integrate with AI agents and automation.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services in Java

• Develop microservices, APIs, and asynchronous workflows

• Build systems that integrate with AI agents and automation workflows

• Design scalable, secure, and observable backend platforms

• Work closely with product, domain experts, and customers

• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture decisions
  
  

Skills

• Java Spring (Boot, Cloud, Data JPA) and microservices architecture

• PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, and polyglot persistence

• Docker, Kubernetes, and API-first design

• Security (JWT, OAuth2); testing (JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers)

• Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, distributed tracing)

• Neo4j, Elasticsearch, event sourcing, CQRS, Domain-Driven Design

• Business process engines, workflow orchestration

• Insurance domain knowledge (policies, claims, underwriting)

• GitOps and CI/CD pipeline experience
